Many dream of owning their own home, few actually know what is required to become a home owner. The HomeOwnership Center is in the business of dream-making. The Center guides the home buyer from pre-qualification to closing and beyond. RRC is a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development counseling agency and a NeighborWorks Full Cycle Lender.

The post-purchase curriculum covers financial management, refinancing responsibly, avoiding foreclosure, property taxes, insurance and home maintenance. Foreclosure Prevention services include Home Preservation Clinics, one-on-one counseling, and a revolving loan fund. HomeOwnership Center staff assists individuals with communicating with their lender or servicer to determine the best resolution for their situation, whether it be a workout plan, refinancing, or obtaining a source of rescue funds. Financial Fitness is for everyone. Whether you are interested in buying a home, developing a workable budget, getting out of debt, improving your credit or planning for your future, RRC wants to help. We are committed to helping people take control of their finances and reach their goals. We provide regular workshops for youths, adults and seniors. Community Building is an integral to our services. Our training encourages involvement in the neighborhood. By getting involved and helping to improve the community, residents improve their own quality of life and increase the value of their investment. The Center strives to transform its future homeowners into engaged citizens. RRC’s HomeOwnership Center operates with numerous partnerships. The primary type of partnership consists of the partner providing outreach to their local market and the HomeOwnerhsip Center providing education content to that market. RRC also utilizes partners to serve as workshop speakers or as mutual referral sources. Partners include banks, home inspectors, real estate agents, other CDCs, other counseling agencies, legal aid agencies, funders and community development intermediaries.
